Hair Removal:
We offer laser hair-removal treatments using the industry’s Gold Standard, Candela’s GentleLasePro™ & GentleLaseMax Pro®, a dual platform, utilizing Alexandrite & Nd:Yag lasers. This technology combines two optimal laser wavelengths in one system: Alexandrite laser with a wavelength of 755-nm and Nd:Yag with a wavelength of 1064-nm. The 755-nm wavelength has high melanin absorption characteristics with more than a decade of proven long-term results for permanent hair reduction. The higher power 1064-nm Nd:Yag laser is considered to be the safest choice and most effective for permanent hair reduction for those patients with darker skin types and tanned skin. The dual platform capability of our Laser system allows for utilizing the proper wavelength during a single procedure for any given hair or skin type. The GentleLasePro™ and the GentleMax Pro® both use the GentleCool Pro Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD) Cryogen removing unwanted hair with unsurpassed efficiency, patient comfort and satisfaction. DCD provides a flow of cool air with each laser zap to protect tissue and skin from thermal damage.
Nail Fungus (Onychomycosis)
Formally known as Onychomycosis, is effectively and successfully treatable with the GentleMax Pro with the 1064-nm wavelength laser to achieve mycologic cure.
Pseudofolliculitis Barbae (PFB) Beard Bumps
Beard bumps are prevalent mostly with men in the facial or areas that are frequently shaved. Ingrown hairs occur in these areas which result in Beard bump. The ingrown hairs themselves can cause bacteria growth and scarring. Beard bumbs can be successfully and effectively treated with either the GentleLasePro 755mm-nm wavelength laser or the GentleMax Pro 1064-nm wavelength laser on all skin types. Proper laser device will be selected depending on skin type and hair color.
Vascular & Pigmented Lesions:
Brown Spots, Freckles & Pigmented Skin
Generally, brown spots and freckles are Ephelides and Lentigines (Solar Lentigines), respectively that are either sun damaged skin or a result of ageing. Brown Spots and freckles that are darker in color can be effectively treated with the Nd:Yag 1064-nm wavelength laser with little or no damage to the skin. The Alexandrite 755nm-wavelength can be used for lighter spots. Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation or pigmentation can be treated with a variety of methods which include topical creams such as Hydroquinone, Vitamin C and Kojic acid. We believe the most effective and quickest method to resolve pigmentation is Venus Viva treatments as it enables ablation and coagulation of the epidermis and dermis zone in a fractional manner resulting in non-invasive skin resurfacing.
Disclaimer: we do not treat any type of malignant skin lesions (Skin Cancers) and we encourage these patients to seek medical care from a proper oncologist.
Hemanigiomas
Hemangiomas are usually a cosmetic concern as opposed to a medical one and are noncancerous growths of blood vessels. Some hemangiomas may open and bleed or ulcerate, making them frustrating, but also intolerable. Most hemangiomas can shrink by themselves, however treatment with GentleMax Pro with the Nd: Yag 1064-nm wavelength laser may be needed for cases of various side effects, including but not limited to scar formation and sepsis.
Rosacea & Diffuse Redness:
Rosacea is a very common skin disease that usually affects patients over the age of 30. This chronic, incurable common condition can be controlled and managed medically. Rocasea symptoms include redness of the face (facial blushing or flushing), tiny red pimples, fine red vascular lines on the facial skin and rhinophyma (an enlarged, bulbous red nose). Rosacea can also cause eye problems, red eyelids (blepharitis), swelling, conjunctivitis (pinkeye) and rocasea keratitis. There are many ways to manage symptoms of Rosacea with varying results, the most effective solution is the GentleMax Pro with the Nd:YAG 1064-nm wavelength laser. The Nd: Yag long pulse wavelength heats up the hemoglobin on the treated areas coagulating the blood and the body’s circulatory system clears the treated area. Venus Viva is another device in our arsenal that is an option for patients suffering from Rosacea. Venus Viva uses NanoFractional Radio Frequency with SmartScan technology that allows the operator to control of ablation, coagulation and skin resurfacing. For longer lasting results, our Facial with Peels service is also available in conjunction with either Laser or Viva treatments to manage Rosacea.
Spider Veins (Telangiectasia)
Formally known as telangiectasia, appear most often on the face and legs (but can occur in other areas), is a common condition that affects many adults. Spider veins are clusters of tiny blood vessels that develop close to the surface of the skin making them visible. They appear red, blue or purple in color with the appearance of a spider web and can be found on both the face, legs and other parts of the body. Spider Veins can be treated successfully and effectively with the Gold Standard versatile GentleMax Pro utilizing Nd: Yag 1064-nm wavelength laser.
